Spring Break in our school district began last Friday the 21st. I, for one, am very happy about that. I'm sure some of you are ready to hear more about us than Amanda and her Quizno's song fascination.

Some highlights since last post: I helped out my friend, Wendy, with her foundation that sells pearl jewelry.

Jenna went to the dentist and the dentist scolds me for not brushing her little teeth properly, let alone neglecting her flossing. For the record--I DO brush her teeth (with the little circle motions) and sometimes even floss the little ivory gems (even though my fingers are way too big for that teensy mouth)...and that takes a LOT of patience!

On the brighter side--Brielle, who concurs that her oral hygiene is lacking, had a perfect checkup and the dentist praised her (not me). On the ride home from the dentist I asked Brielle if she has any fillings. She swiped her tongue around her mouth and declared, "Nope!" Which goes to show--Life Isn't Fair.

The kids now go to our friend, Mandy, to get their hair cut. Mandy is super-cool because she is young, has a handsome hubby, cute kids, and lives on a horse ranch. She has a 'salon' in her garage. Her little girl actually gets a pony for Christmas! The pony's name is Cheeto. How cool is that? Monica and Amanda praise this young mom/hairstylist for her listening skills. Apparently, Mandy knows their hair needs more than their own mother. I have had to learn to step back--with big mouth shut--and allow the girls to voice their own preferences. Ouch...it hurts to keep my big mouth shut.

Lastly, a quote from sweet Jenna.

Me: I hope there are pets in heaven.
Jenna: Yeah, like a turkey.

First-graders make me giggle.

iPods, Quiznos, Amanda

Lets think of rare things to see....Sasquatch, a Blue Moon, pigs flying......Amanda singing out loud.

I have witnessed her singing along with her iPod before. Its a very pretty voice. However, we can't acknowledge the voice, or it will disappear like the dodo bird. Thankfully, a cute boy band, Hawk Nelson, has a video blog in which the comedic lead singer writes a jingle about his favorite sandwich shop. This is just too much for our little Amanda to pass up and she just....has to sing!

Thank you, Hawk Nelson!!

PS....yes, this is brief---enjoy it while it lasted. I couldn't be happier if her dad had a video of Sasquatch himself.
